Dr. Michael Dobbs has been working in the crop protection industry for over 25 years, with most of that time spent in various roles within Bayer’s Environmental Safety group providing technical, regulatory, and strategic support and guidance. He currently leads a team within Bayer’s Regulatory Scientific Affairs group that covers a range of technical and regulatory topics. He has experience with a broad range of crop protection technologies, from small molecules to GMOs. Michael has been a leader in industry committees and scientific societies, where he actively works to build consensus to address the challenges facing the crop protection industry and our society.

He is an aquatic toxicologist/ecologist by training, with a broad background in in the environmental sciences, biology, and chemistry. He went to University of Massachusetts for undergraduate studies, University of Michigan for a master’s degree, and Virginia Tech for his Ph.D.
