Nina Heard is an independent consultant with a diverse background in the crop protection industry. Her current area of specialization is the digitization of crop protection registration and label information to enable a variety of new technologies within the crop protection industry. Her experience in this area spans the last 12 years and includes work with a variety of industry groups and regulators across the globe.
Nina previously served in various roles over a 33-year career with Syngenta Crop Protection LLC, including as a synthesis chemist, human health risk assessment manager, regulatory operations and compliance head, science and technology fellow and as the global digital lead for product safety and regulatory. She is from North Carolina and obtained a PhD in synthetic organic chemistry from North Carolina State University and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Virginia Tech.
