Description

As the food and agricultural value chain has worked to improve overall sustainability, it has become apparent that the use of appropriate technologies such as pesticides is critically important. Productivity improvements over time reduce adverse environmental impacts, such as greenhouse gas emissions, water, fuel, and land utilization. This session is going to bring together a group of panelists to discuss the results of a Life Cycle Assessment that was utilized to quantify the environmental impacts of chemical controls for weeds, insects, and diseases for corn, soy, and cotton production in the United States.
