Julius Fajardo joined the USDA-Office of Pest Management Policy in 2012 as a plant pathologist. Julius’ portfolio includes policy issues involving registration reviews of fungicides, nematicides, and PGRs. He has worked on fungicide resistance, emerging diseases and pathogens and provides scientific support with the Office of the Chief Scientist on the role of antimicrobial pesticides in crops on foodborne antimicrobial resistance. He received his Ph.D in plant pathology from Texas A&M and attended the University of the Philippines at Los Banos for his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees.
