Dr. Manojit Basu is the vice president, science policy at CropLife America, the U.S. national trade association representing manufacturers, formulators, and distributors of pesticides products. His primary areas of responsibility include advocating for science-based policies and regulations for approval and support of pesticide products and technologies.

Prior to joining CLA, Dr. Basu was the vice president, product safety representing the food and beverage industry in Washington, D.C. He also holds an adjunct professor position at the Johns Hopkins University and has received a Bachelor of Science in agriculture and a Master of Science and Ph.D. in molecular biology.
