As Vice President of Federal Affairs at the American Chemistry Council (ACC), Ryan Jackson is responsible for engaging with the White House, Congress, and federal agencies to create sensible policies and regulations that put science first, promote innovation and support supply chain resiliency.
Previously, Jackson led the National Mining Association’s (NMA) government and political affairs shop for nearly four years. Prior to NMA, Jackson spent three years as chief of staff for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), during which he successfully negotiated the U.S. Senate confirmation votes of two EPA administrators, nine assistant administrators, and regularly assisted the EPA administrator with finalizing regulatory proposals and implementing domestic and international initiatives.
Before serving at EPA, Jackson was staff director for the U.S. Senate Environment and Public Works Committee. In this role, Jackson oversaw passage of principal chemical regulation, national transportation, and water infrastructure legislation, plus the enactment of over 60 other bipartisan bills. He worked in the U.S. Senate for 18 years including as chief of staff to former Senator Inhofe (R-Okla.).
Jackson began his career in Oklahoma as an assistant district attorney. He earned his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Oklahoma and Juris Doctor from Oklahoma City University.
