Timothy Malloy joined the UCLA faculty in 1998, after spending a combined 11 years in practice at private firms and at the United States Environmental Protection Agency, Region III. He is originally from New Jersey which, believe it or not, he misses every day. His research interests focus on environmental, chemical and nanotechnology policy, regulatory policy, and organizational theory and decision analysis, with particular emphasis on risk governance and prevention-based regulation. He is the vice president of the Association for the Advancement of Alternatives Assessments and a member of the State of California’s Green Ribbon Science Panel.
