Volunteer Opportunity: Grab and bite and then lend a hand! Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) is bringing supplies for RISE members to pack overnight bags for children entering the foster system in the Louisville area. Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) is a national association made up of more than 97,900 dedicated volunteers who are appointed by judges to advocate for children’s best interests. This best-interest advocacy makes a life-changing difference for over 242,000 children and youths annually who have experienced abuse or neglect, many of whom are in foster care. CASA believes that every child should be given the opportunity to thrive in a safe and loving home.
