Julie Schlekau is Senior Manager Label & State Affairs Group at Valent U.S.A. LLC. During her nearly 30-year career in the industry, Julie has worked on regulatory issues, starting at McLaughlin Gormley King Company (MGK) and joining Valent U.S.A.’s Washington, D.C., office in 2008. She transitioned to the company’s home office in California in 2014 to become Manager of the Label & State Affairs Group which includes the Quality Assurance Team. She chaired the RISE Regulatory Affairs Committee from 2007-2009 and is once again chair of the RISE Regulatory Affairs Committee. She has been active in the Pesticide Registration Improvement Act (PRIA) process since PRIA I and has represented RISE in those processes.
