In addition to other ESA efforts, stakeholders are examining the existing risk assessment process and identifying areas for refinement and use of the best available science. Three of these areas are the risk assessment for non-target arthropods, better incorporation of spray drift reduction technologies, and accounting for the proximity of the application site to aquatic habitat.
