Andrew Moore is the Chief Executive Officer of the National Agricultural Aviation Association (NAAA). The NAAA supports the interests of small business owners and pilots licensed as commercial applicators that use aircraft to enhance food, fiber and bio-energy production, protect forestry and control health-threatening pests. He has served in this position since 2002 and oversees the Association’s government relations efforts, educational programs, finances, communication and outreach efforts, and various industry conferences. He was first hired by NAAA as their Director of Government Relations in 1997
Prior to joining the NAAA he served as legislative director for former Congresswoman Andrea Seastrand who represented part of California’s Central Coast. In this capacity he handled transportation, agricultural and environmental issues. From 1991-1994 he held the position of manager of congressional affairs for the United Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Association in the Washington, DC area. In the early days of his working career he interned for California Governor George Deukmejian, and U.S. President Ronald Reagan.
Andrew received his undergraduate degree in Public Administration from the University of Southern California. He also has earned a Masters in Business Administration from the George Washington University in Washington, DC.
Andrew was born and raised in Bakersfield, California located in the state’s Central Valley. He grew up in agriculture and for four generations his family has farmed in Arvin, California—just outside of Bakersfield—where they grow potatoes, carrots, almonds, pistachios, and navel oranges. Andrew is a proud father of his 17-year-old son, Ben. They enjoy scouting and baseball.
