Peter Bachmann is based in Washington, D.C., and has served as the vice president of international trade policy for USA Rice since 2019, responsible for addressing barriers to trade and expanding rice exports for the U.S. rice industry. Before taking on this role, Bachmann worked at the U.S. Department of Agriculture as the senior advisor to the Secretary, responsible for trade and farm policy and before that, worked on domestic farm program policy at USA Rice. In addition to his more official roles, while at Virginia Tech working on his bachelor’s degree in dairy science, Bachmann spent a summer as CropLife America’s regulatory affairs intern.
