Sabina Neumann is the senior trade advisor in the Plant Division of the USDA’s Foreign Agricultural Service. Her primary responsibility is to address immediate and strategic trade issues affecting U.S. crop exports to the European Union. She leads interagency teams with other federal agencies (AMS, EPA, FDA, USTR) and USDA’s foreign offices in Europe to advance U.S. trade policy goals with actionable solutions to trade problems. She has a particular focus on EU food safety issues and EU policy initiatives related to agricultural production and trade.
Ms. Neumann has over 25 years’ experience working in both the private and public sector on trade policy, trade remedies, customs analysis, and advocacy, and extensive experience collaborating with, and leading multi- national business units and teams involved in trade matters before regulatory authorities in the United States, the European Union, and in Asia. Prior to joining USDA, she led a two-volume report for the U.S. International Trade Commission on the Global Economic Impact of Missing and Low Pesticide Maximum Residue Levels.
