Lisamarie (Lee) Carrubba is currently the acting chief of the ESA Interagency Cooperation Division in the Office of Protected Resources, NOAA Fisheries, leading work under section 7 of the Endangered Species Act. Lee is also a course instructor and part of the redesign team for the National Conservation Training Center's ESA Interagency Cooperation, Biological Assessment, and Planning for a Changing Climate courses, and the Coordinating Chapter Lead for the U.S. Caribbean chapter of the Fifth National Climate Assessment. Lee holds a Ph.D. in ecology from the University of Georgia. Prior to coming to OPR, Lee worked for the Southeast Region in charge of the Caribbean Field Office in Puerto Rico. Lee is also a certified yoga instructor, animal lover, and would rather be in the water at home in the Caribbean than anywhere else.
