Patsy Dudash Laird is a native of northern Ohio and studied Plant Pathology as an undergrad at Ohio State. She followed with a Master’s at N.C. State in Plant Pathology, with a specialty in Nematology, and returned to Ohio State to work before marrying and moving to the Mississippi Delta. She enjoyed her time working at Mississippi State’s Delta Research & Extension Station in rice, cotton, and soybean before her husband’s job took them to Geneva, NY. The birth of their first child led to 14-plus years of being a stay-at-home mom before she joined Syngenta Crop Protection in 2009 in Labeling. She moved to Stewardship in 2016 and became a Regulatory Manager for seed-treatment products in 2021. She is active in ASTA’s Treated Seed Committee, Growing Matters, and Western Plant Health’s Pesticide-treated Seed Workgroup in addition to being active in CLA’s Seed Treating Working Group.
