Eileen Salathé Hollcraft is Lead Counsel - Crop Protection Regulatory (Global), Corteva Agriscience, located in Indianapolis, Indiana. Prior to the spin into Corteva, Eileen was Lead Counsel -- North America Regulatory and EH&S (Seeds and Crop Protection) for heritage Dow AgroSciences, after she joined the company in 2010.
At Corteva, Eileen provides strategic regulatory counsel and support for the crop protection business, including emerging policy issues such as fluorinated chemistries and Endangered Species Act implementation. Corteva Agriscience is the largest U.S.-based company entirely focused on agriculture. Corteva develops and delivers climate and disease-resistant seeds, naturally derived and sustainably advantaged crop protection and plant health products, and other technologies and solutions that protect water, soil, and biodiversity while enhancing farm productivity and profitability.
Through 2010, Eileen was located in the Washington, DC, area, where she had previously been Senior Counsel – Environment for Northrop Grumman Corporation, after leaving private practice with Bergeson & Campbell, PC, where she had practiced chemical regulatory law and product defense. Eileen earned a B.A. from Wheaton College (Norton, Massachusetts), and her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center, DC, where she also served as a teaching assistant.
Eileen has always been passionate about agriculture; she grew up in rural New Hampshire, where her family lived off the land, growing vegetables and raising pigs, sheep, rabbits, and a cow or two (with 4-H and showing sheep a part of it all). Eileen now lives in Plainfield, Indiana, with her husband Phillip and their four cats (plus a Yorkipoo), and her nearby granddaughter already has Nana wrapped around her finger (Diana’s sister Maxine will join her in June!). In her free time, Eileen is a volunteer youth soccer coach for Hendricks Community Soccer and enjoys motorcycle riding.
